Lots of wind this past week so most anglers had to stay in the creeks or rivers. The fishing was still good with lots of white perch, striped bass and some puppy drum. Some of the better areas this past week where the upper part of eastern bay around Kent narrows, Severn River and the south river. Most of these areas are holding a good amount of striped bass and puppy drum. Using 1/4oz perch hounders and 1/4oz zman willowvibe paired with a streakz 3.75 have been some of the hot lures to use when fishing the shallows inside the rivers and creeks.
When the wind lays down chasing blue fish and Spanish mackerel around the lower portion of the bay has been great. Fishing from Solomon’s to the target ship is still the best areas to find some of the bigger bluefish and mackerel even at times anglers are tuning in to schools of bull reds feeding on bluefish.
