Crappie: Loch Raven Reservior and Liberty Reservoir have both been very good for Crappie this week! Tuckahoe is a great spot for them as well.
Pickerel: Eastern Shore lakes and ponds such as Tuckahoe Unicorn, Urieville and Smithville continue to produce pickerel. A minnow on a slip bobber is always a good way to catch them.
Yellow Perch: Most of the Yellow Perch activity has been up north in the Bush River, the Middle River, and at the mouth of the Susquehanna. Live minnows are the ticket for this species as well!
Blue Catfish: It’s a great time of year to catch huge catfish with cut bait! The Potomac and the Northern Bay near the mouth of the Susquehanna have been hot spots!
Rockfish: Rockfishing really picked up this week, but it is mostly further south, into Virginia waters. Your best bet is to launch out of Point Lookout.
Tautog: Tautog fishing continues to be really good in the Ocean City inlet! Use green crab or peeler crab.
Trout: Local areas including Calvert Cliffs have been stocked! Follow DNR’s website for updates: https://dnr.maryland.gov/fisheries/Pages/trout/stocking.aspx
